Hey!!

We had our first paper today. As the title suggests, it is developmental biology. It is one of my favourite modules this semester. So as usual me and Af get to sit next to each other in the exam hall. We were like waaay at the back. Last row in fact. When the exam starts, Peter had to stand at the aisle in between us. He was standing there over our shoulders like 90% of the exam. It was very distracting coz i can sense him reading over my answers. Him being there also makes me kind of nervous. I really felt uncomfortable and wanted to tell him to go away or at least move around and not just stay there. I do not know why but i have this problem that i cannot concentrate when proffessors/teachers are like breathing down my neck. But alas, i did not tell him that. After some time i force myself to ignore his presence. But it was funny when after the exam, i found that Af too had the same problem. She also thought of asking Peter to move but i guess both of us just didn't bother coz we have better things to worry about...like answering his exam questions. Hahaha. Loki suggested that next time if a similar incident happen, we should write something along the lines of "Please go away, you are disturbing me" on our answer sheet (in pencil of course) so that if the proff is really reading your answers well he will get the idea! Hahaha.

Alright... For the benefit of Raph (who is culturing somewhere in Japan) and Soph (who is trying yet again to make herself invisible), we were discussing about the Sept holidays.

The (sloppy) minutes for our after-lunch meeting:

1) Chalet...with the usual games (about e.coli and shoelaces )and Loki's 'who's line' + steamboat or BBQ + what to do about a DVD player + don't think we can get a room so late + another option

2) The another option --> KL trip + total cost (transport & accommodation & food & shopping) + where to visit + what to do + how to do them

Sidetrack 1) Finding a name for Asta's 'ender' + Oph wanting to attending a Chinese wedding + Raph or Asta better get married soon for her sake + How Naruto got into the picture (I still don't know..but we do know that if he does have a wedding, Oph will go for the sushi)

Sidetrack 2) The "I know I'm very pretty" girl and friend torturing the Brainy-prof + his responses during tutorial the previous day + the Brainy-prof's "How old are you?" + Pls write down your references for your assignment so that he knows whatever <___> we are writing came from

Sidetrack 3) Oph will photocopy only half a set of notes when she needs to wait three hours for the next lecture to start... [you better NOT make her more irritated or you will only get a third of it... =P I'm so gonna die tmr. Think I better skip the planting-pot lecture...]

Sidetrack 4) Harry Potter Book 6 stuff + (DBD the White riding a white dragon) + Title for Book 7 (in the lecture hall)

Sidetrack 5) All those things that I've missed

What good way to start off a new academic year by the initiation of our newest member of the Order. You all know her, she is none other than Shy!! She has been with us for a long time and has finally chosen an angel/demon persona.

Shy is from now on and forever be known as ANGEL DUMA.
Duma is the angel of silence from what i know from Shy.

Welcome Duma! Hope that you will enjoy all the heavenly delights you find from now on. By the way you do not want to*ahem ahem*the demons down below. Not so fancy in Hell, i can assure you. What a perfect way to celebrate Duma initiation and some of the angels and demons birthday all on Friday. So tomorrow we are going to bend the rules a bit, angles and demons going karaoke-ing! Hahaha!

hey everyone. as usual me is back when sch starts. juz when me thot the previous hols me is giong to have plenty of time to rest...somethings have to come up. i missed out on all the fun preparing a tteaching seminar. Imagine that. haha. told raphael about it when i bumped into her. luckily the indonesian teachers were nice. they had fun.
" when i first came to the seminar, i expected my trainers to be older than me...." that was what one of the teachers wrote in their journal. haha. and this coming december hols, the lady who employed my friend's n my services is inviting us to indonesia to conduct another seminar over there. thinking of starting an agency. haha anyone interested? good market in indonesia! ;p
hope everyone is fine and sorry af, cudnt visit u. anyways hope this sem is better. oh btw, i have decided to move back to jurong. simei too far for my body! haha...so hope u will see more of me this sem compared to the last. cant wait to meet up!

me is flying off to amsterdam tonight =) going for WMC [world music contest] with philwinds! just for info's sakes, the competition is on the 24th.. and after that we're going to spend a *few* days in paris! bahaha. well i'm flying back from zurich on the 29th as there are no more seats out of paris. sighz. hm i'll be back in singapore on the 30th.. so i guess i'll see you guys in school during the 2nd week! I don't know why, but suddenly i miss you all so much (like..much much more than ever) =(
Really really can't wait to see you all and have fun together again.

On a lighter note, i did an exam and a presentation this morning. It was okay, and i should be able to get the credits. Now I have one exam and one more presentation to go (on monday and tuesday respectively) which i guess should be alright too... well, i can say that i am very lucky because i don't really have to go through a lot of exam. And that last one will be in english too..

By next week i'll be in paris (hopefully on the top of the tower...hehehe), and the following week i'll be back in singapore! =)

I had my first exam yesterday. It was quite stupid coz we're asked to copy down mechanisms from the textbook (it was an open book exam). Very disappointed, considering the amount of studying and worrying i put into it. = (

today, at least the first part of today, is one of those days when it's quite lovely and i feel grateful for many things including all of you angeles et daemons. i guess it started out with an ok lecture and me finally getting breakfast from macs in ntu (except it was quite a mistake cos it wasn't all that nice but i think macs taken over part of my life and i'll think abt reversing it)

today's one of those days that i felt like doing friendship day thingies. writing notes to tell you what great pals you are and how i really do appreciate all the things you do for me and hope u forgive me for all the wrongs, no matter how small, or big=p, i did. thanks for sharing me the secrets to how to do those stupid lab reports and assignments, explaining how certain things in the world work or what they mean, kindly and patiently waiting for me when i'm taking a long time, spending your time with me, being patient with a very indecisive person etc etc etc. the human mind is "unlimited" by blah blah and blah, but mine's often limited and i don't think i can think of everything i should thank you for, at least at moments in time, and besides, i'll just get real long-winded and all. i guess i can never come up with the perfect thank you message but i hope you know how much good you've done for me and that i love and thank you=)

hi all...
just came back from winter holiday. visited tours (went to see some chateau near there) and paris. bad news...my backpack was stolen.sob sob...while i was having lunch at McD! so i lost everything except my camera which was luckily in my pocket at that time. but i've settled everything, and even got a new passport =) no worries... I miss my handphone,though. dun think my mom will let me buy the same phone again.hehehehehe..
Tours was great, and paris was not bad, except that it was very cold...so didn't walk around much.
And Michael, yes, there is a japanese language course here. I wanted to take it but it started at the beginning of the academic year so i can't just join now.=(

Well i jus want to point out that i am begining to dislike Torres. Though he is funny and cool in tutorials and he may look sexy with unbuttoned shirt and his shiny head but...did you guys read his replies to some of the students email today. He was being really rude (at least to me lah). I mean yeah i understand that some students might be bugging him with never-ending qns but perhaps one or two are really genuine ones where the students are confused and need clarification. His tone and attitude seems to be discouraging us to ask him. He uses phrases like "what kind of qn is that?" and "be my guest...to do mechanical quantum qns". It sure made those who ask sounds dumb or something. Sigh! Maybe i am being sensitive but Torres sure could exercise some patience and tact in future emails.

hi all...
well, i can't really say i have settled myself down here...but just wanted to let you know i'm fine here at Lyon.
It's very cold here. sometimes it can reach a few degrees below zero.
Still struggling with the language here (my course is 5 hours a day till 4 feb) . Haven't been anywhere (except one museum and exposition on wine, and passing through vieux Lyon with its cathedral--> but forgot to bring my camera..sob sob) coz i don't feel comfortable yet to go alone (can't imagine if i got lost) ...language problem again...and i don't have a map... well, in an hour a someone will be giving me his map =P
might try to go to paris end of feb since i will have a 10 days break then, and i need to extend my visa and ticket.
I really want to try skiing but i don't want to buy the clothes..so am now in search of someone that could lend me clothes.hehehehhehe.
will still be nervous until i see how difficult (or hopefully not difficult) the subjects here will be.
my classes will start on 7 feb.
how are you all there?
so sad that i will miss the fun on monday = (

I think being sick and having nothing to do makes your brain busy.(Go figure) So it would not just be my fun day but everyone else. So here is a list of the things we can do during my birthday:

I think it is either 1) I slept too much in the afternoon... OR 2) For the third time in a row, I got THE devil as a teacher...

It seems that he got promoted to the status of the school's cafe manager too.... I really don't understand him ---> The reception said that the delegation of classes is by the admin staff AND the teachers... so, WHY in the hell/heaven (take your pick according to your habitat) did he accept our class AGAIN???!!! He just told my friend that he never has to prep-talk any of his students before until...um... yours truly and now, her friend. He introduced me to the new student as a weirdo with same brain problem who ecetera ecetera (yep, that is the literal translation). JEEZZ!!!!! However, my attitude-fortified friend gave him a piece of her mind and walk out during her prep-talk =P

Revenge IS sweet.... Um... being an angel, I think I shall pratice good karma... Ok, I'll forgive him (in 200 years time). Decided! Now, my Karma Index has risen to 99.9999%

It is the 7th day of puasa! Alas it has almost been one week into the month of ramadhan. Alhamdullilah that i have been able to fast for all these 7 days. From what i know the other muslims angel and demon has already been "banned" from fasting. :p
This year Hari Raya would be so bleak for me. Cannot go visiting on the first day as much as previous years. All because of the BS205 exam!! Argh! Worse still, BS204 exam is right on malam hari raya. Sopheriel and Af would understand my feelings about this. The rest see it in this way: it is like you have to sit for an unwanted exam on christmas eve!

i just uploaded my assignment. terrible piece of work, i wonder if i'll pass the assignment. from what i overheard others saying, the part that i came up with, comments, is pitifully lil... well, it's partly cos of the paper and partly cos i don't know or am too chicken to write some stuff (incidentally, my paper's got everything to do with chick embryo. terrible influ.) anyway, mayb to "shock" u further, the original part of my assignment was barely one page.

Sigh! Tomorrow there will be a BS201 test on endocrine system etc. Luckily, it will all be MCQ. So there is no need to panic. Considering that i still have two assignments to complete, BS205 and GE, i think i should. Damn! Why can't life just get simpler as you live through it? Nowadays i feel like life is just one long list of tests and deadlines. Anyhow, these last few days the verses from my favourite song has been stuck in my head. Can't get them out.

HOw DARE you compare one of the best pieces of litature to a little kids movie, and devote a whole website to it? ok there may be some things alike between the lord of the rings and harry potter but thats because the writers of harry potter ripped some things off. the lord of the rings isn\'t just a fantasy it also has meaning and depth too, unlike the kiddie movie harry potter. i mean come what the hell is your problem? honsetly all that harry potter is a piece of crap that is a lord the rings rip off. so i must request that you take down this site and maybe actuly look for the meaning behind the lord of the rings and not just the stuff that appels to little kids.

Well..i decide to give you guys a little insight to my angelic persona. As you all knoe i am ARCHANGEL OPHANIEL and i am basically the angel of the wheel of the moon! (hahaha..i didnt even knoe that moon has wheels :p). Lame i know but moving on.. Still i like the meaning of my name though. Sounds cooler, ''Ruling light of the Source of the Whole of existence".
